Twine

Twine is a tool for building text-based games.

Jamie has built this game for one of her classes, and it gives you a sense of how students can use Twine to demonstrate their understanding of the readings.

Another favourite Twine game asks you to imagine yourself as Anne Boleyn.

Twine has the steepest learning curve of the tools we’re showing you today, but it does not require any ability to code — just an ability to think in decision trees.

Get some inspiration from Keegan Long-Wheeler and his Twine curriculum, check out Twine’s educator resources, and consider some of these prompts for making educational Twine games.
